Supplier Closed Items feed
The final state of the items you bid on as a supplier is available through the Supplier Closed Items feed. Once a Sourcing Event you participated in closes and its award feedback is processed, the feed receives one record per item carrying the definitive outcome: whether you were awarded the item, when the event closed, your floor (walkaway) price, whether automated bidding was used, and the item's bid sheet values. See the OpenAPI specification for full details.
Like the Supplier Items feed, this feed is scoped to your organisation as a
supplier: it returns records from the Sourcing Events in which you were invited to bid through the
Bidding API. The item field matches the item ID used by the Supplier Items feed and the Intake API.
Note
The Supplier Closed Items feed is part of the Bidding API, which is not available on the Free Plan. It is only available on the Enhanced or Premium Plan.
Records are published once per item, shortly after the Sourcing Event closes and its award feedback is
processed. A SUPPLIER_CLOSED_ITEMS_FEED_UPDATED webhook trigger is available to be notified when this happens;
its payload lists the updated Sourcing Events, ready to use with the feed's sourcing_event filter — see the
Webhook API section for details.
Examples
The following examples show how the feed may be used to get closed item data. In each example, we show the URL
used with a GET request and the corresponding response JSON. Click on the Response section to see the full
response content.
These examples are specific to the Supplier Closed Items feed, to be used with the
/feeds/supplier/closed-items endpoint which is more fully described in the OpenAPI specification.
Basic Supplier Closed Items feed
This example shows simple use of the Supplier Closed Items feed. It is unfiltered so returns all closed item records in the order they have been added or modified, starting from the oldest.
The second record shows an item that was never bid on: its award_status is NO_BID, it carries no price or
floor_price, and bid_sheet_values holds only the columns the purchaser provided.
Filtered example
The below example filters to the items your organisation was awarded in a specific Sourcing Event.
Filters
The following filters are available on the Supplier Closed Items feed. These are also detailed on the OpenAPI specification. Filters are applied additively.
Filter to records associated with a specific Sourcing Event.
Filter to records with a specific award outcome: AWARDED, NOT_AWARDED or NO_BID.
Filter to records modified within a date range. One or both ends may be provided. If a date is supplied
without a time, the time defaults to 00:00 UTC.
If no date filters are provided, the feed returns the last 45 days of data by default.
Response fields
Each closed item record contains:
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
id |
integer | Unique record identifier (for tracking updates) |
sourcing_event |
UUID | The Sourcing Event this item belongs to |
item |
UUID | The item (lot) identifier — matches the Supplier Items feed and the Intake API |
sourcing_event_name |
string | The name of the Sourcing Event |
organisation |
string | The display name of the purchaser organisation running the event |
award_status |
string | The definitive award outcome: AWARDED, NOT_AWARDED or NO_BID (see below) |
closed_at |
datetime | When the Sourcing Event closed |
price |
string | Your final bid value for the event's monetary column, when you bid on the item |
floor_price |
string | Your walkaway (floor) value for the event's monetary column, when one was set |
automated |
boolean | Whether automated bidding was used on this item |
billable |
boolean | Whether the item was won using automated bidding and counts toward billable usage |
modified |
datetime | When this record was last updated |
bid_sheet_values |
array | The item's bid sheet values when the event closed (see below) |
Items you never bid on are always reported as NO_BID.
The bid_sheet_values list
bid_sheet_values carries the item's values for every column on the bid sheet — including custom columns that
the Supplier Items feed's data map does not carry. Each entry contains:
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
column_name |
string | The column's name on the bid sheet |
value |
string | The item's value for this column when the event closed |
currency |
string | Currency code (ISO 4217); only present on monetary columns |
Bid values such as the linehaul cost hold your final submitted values when the event closed.
Data updates
Records are appended once per item shortly after the event closes and award feedback is processed. If an item's final state is updated — for example, if the purchaser revises their award decision after the event has closed — the existing record for that item is replaced and the updated record is appended to the end of the feed (see Data Updates for details on how updates work).
Records returned from the Supplier Closed Items feed can be uniquely identified using the id field. This ID
can be used to track changes as described in the Data Updates section of the usage
document.
Example consumer workflow
- Bid on items while the event is open — online in Sourcing Optimizer, or through the Bidding API
- Be notified that items closed via the
SUPPLIER_CLOSED_ITEMS_FEED_UPDATEDwebhook, whose payload lists the updated Sourcing Events, or poll the feed periodically - Fetch the closed items:
GET /api/feeds/supplier/closed-items?sourcing_event={event} - Read each item's final state — the award outcome, the values it closed at, and when the event closed
